Da un pò di tempo ormai lo ritroviamo ogni anno sulle passerelle: parlo del tartan.
All'origine c'è l'indumento tradizionale scozzese che tutti conosciamo: il kilt.
Il tartan è un particolare disegno dei tessuti, per la maggior parte in lana, motivi a righe che si incrociano formando dei quadri, ciò era caratteristico delle Highland scozzesi ed era usato per distinguere i diversi clan e zone della Scozia.
La prima apparizione associata alla moda avviene nel 1920, quando Burberry lo trasforma nella texture iconica del marchio.
Negli anni '70 i quadri arrivano a Londra, grazie alla stilista Vivienne Westwood, che veste il gruppo dei Sex Pistols, e vengono così associati definitivamente alla moda punk.
Oggi, invece, lo vediamo indossato dalle icone più seguite del momento: da Chiara Ferragni a Cara Delavingne.
Inoltre grandi firme lo hanno riproposto per quest'autunno/inverno, in chiave moderna e super, super cool!
Da Stella McCartney a Céline, passando da Mulberry a Jeremy Scott e così via...

From some time by now we find him every year on the catwalks: I speak of the tartan.
Originally there is the traditional Scottish garment that we all know: the kilt.
The tartan is a special design of fabrics, for the most part made of wool, striped designs that intersect forming of the squares, this was characteristic of the Scottish Highlands and was used to distinguish different clans and areas of Scotland.
The first appearance associated with the fashion came in 1920, when it becomes the texture iconic Burberry brand.
In the 70s squares arrive in London, thanks to designer Vivienne Westwood, who wears the band the Sex Pistols, and are thus definitively associated to the punk fashion.
Today, however, we see it worn by icons the most followed of the moment: by Chiara Ferragni at Cara Delavingne.
Also big brands have repurposed for this fall / winter, in modern versions and super, super cool!
